I have been hooked on 24 and Jack bauer for about 4 years, never miss an episode. I pace during the many commercials just waiting for it to come back on.

Yeah, I found the DVD series on Ebay. Read a couple of descriptions about it, and to be quite honest, it sounded boring to me. Obviously I am missing something here..........

Far from boring.... very suspenseful. It is a series that I totally enjoy watching. I know more people hooked on this series than any other I have ever watched.

Rich, you should rent the first season and watch it. Or like I said in another post, this seasons first 4 hours are supposed to be available for sale.

I'll have to keep my eye out for it next time I am at a place that sells DVDs based on TV shows.

Is the first season good enough to give me a good idea of what this is all about?

Get a TIVO. You can start recording it, watch something else the first hour, that scan threw the commercials to "catch up" to the end of the show.

Each season is a different story line so you could watch the first season or just the first four hours of this season and be able to tell what's going on
