Has anyone have the procedure for installing new points in the distributor on a 54 corvette. thanks

Very simple. Should be one screw to remove the old & install the new. Set the gap with the dist lobe at its top position (where it will open the point contacts the furthest). If you don't have feeler gauges a simple matchbook cover is the proper thickness to gap them at.
