Interesting storm development.....
Just happened to glance at the latest radar map, and darn if I don't see rotation developing in this mass of storms centered right over Florida. If this were over water, I'd be REAL concerned about it....

I believe all low pressure systems rotate like that. High pressure rotates the other way. Thats how the weather men forcast where the storm may go based on those low and high pressure areas. I am not sure that simply being over the water would be dangerous due to things like wind shear in the upper atmosphere, but I certianly don't want to have it move over water to test my theory...

Its from a low that developed just north of Tampa. We are expecting it sometime tonight. Batten down the hatches...

It looks like the "center" has moved southwest and now out in the gulf. Hope it's just a fluke and doesn't develop into anything. Really would like this to be a hurricane-less year in Florida......

Wow that's pretty impressive. Shall we take bets on whether it hits Texas or Mexico if it indeed develops? Looks like the weather channel is keeping an eye on it and are calling it tropical disturbance. Look out Luke, there is a disturbance in the Force. LOL.

I'll second that Rich. It's gotten so I'm scared to get my homeowners insurance renewals each year. They say we're still paying for storms from 3 years ago.

Dotty and I were on a flight from TPA to BOS that was scheduled to leave at 6:30 PM last night (Tuesday the 15th), and we had to sit inside the terminal for over 3 hours. Rain like I haven't seen since the monsoons in Vietnam! Wound up getting to the house in Massachusetts at about 1:30 this morning. Made for a L-O-N-G trip home! On the plus side..........we DID get the A/C squeaks fixed and managed to put on a bunch of miles !

It's over land now so i dont see it building any stronger. Now once it gets off the east coast who knows.
What a crazy week for rainfall, had about 10" this past weekend, had 4.40" on Tuse and about .60" today.
