Vettes @ Daytona Speedway
I'd be VERY surprised if the speedway even will listen. It's been YEARS since they have welcomed Vettes at the speedway. It use to be they would put up corrals and let us do pace laps, but all they care about is money. The last actual 'racing' by club members was the NCCC event at the start of the 1980's to my knowledge (I got to race LOVE there). They have too much going on to make THEM money now to even consider it for less than many thousand dollars. They just have gotten to corperate to care about how they got where they are anymore, but good luck on your attempt. I really do hope it pans out, but it will have to be a HUGH deal to interest them. They pack the speedway with over 5,000 cars during the Rod Run twice a year and they won't let us on the track for even slow parade laps.  Glenn

Hey Rich......try SINCE FATHER'S DAY  ! June was the last time that my wife and I were in Florida, and I haven't seen my Vette since then! Fingernails are gone.......toenails have had it.......breathing in a paper bag at least 20 times a day..........right foot keeps mashing down on any gas pedal it finds.......meds are costing me a fortune........just put 91 octane in the rental Ford Focus....I just WISH it was O-N-L-Y a week since I drove my Vette!  But just wait till this weekend......

I think there are government programs to help you out. Maybe tape recordings of a real engine might help somewhat. We have to drive down to Bushnell on Friday and I feel like it is SUCH a waste to be driving the van all day. But unfortunately the boxes we need to take just will not fit in the vette.
I've got a Hardbar support that I bought sitting in the workroom, waiting for a camera mount for my digicam. I figure when things like this happen again, I can just pop in a video and sit real close to the screen and pretend I am driving down the road.
