Default Had Dyno tune yesterday...

I went to see Chris, the owner Of Corvette Dr. for a dyno tune yesterday. It was my first time seeing this done and I found it fascinating to watch. I've enclosed a few pics for your enjoyment. Unfortunately, I did not get a final pic of the tune once completed. The humidity was 86% during the tune and of course the engine was quite hot after driving over the Skyway and so Chris said the numbers would be lower than normal due to humidity and hot engine. Intial numbers were 329.7 RWHP and 356.6 ft-lbs of torque. After a couple of tweeks, I ended up with 344.7 RWHP and 370 ft-lbs of torque. Chris thought that the numbers would show another 15 or so Hp gain if the humidity was lower and engine colder. Fan speeds were adjusted along with air-fuel mix and paddle shift points were firmed up. The car definitely has some more giddi up and go. Once the new bi-mode exhaust goes on, it should do even better. Thanks for letting me share this with you.
PS: I found Chris to be very professional and his shop is clean clean clean. I recommend him for any concerns you might have for your vette.

Good base # Mark,Much more room for improvements,a good gain of 14-15 hp and tq.In no time you will hit the 400hp and tq.It's amazing how easy these cars can gain power. That's for sharing

Thanks Rob. I was told that the bi-mode exhaust is much less restrictive and should add 6-8 HP gain on what I have now. Changing heads and Cam would boost me into the 525-575 Hp range but not ready for that yet.

Your numbers are off from mine.

If you go back on this forum on Nov 14th and look for having headers installed today, you will see pics and details of my car being worked on at Antivenom.

I have a 06 a6 with 7500 miles, the temp that day was around 75 and hum around 65%.

My base numbers was 346.75 hp and 348.55 ft lbs. After the AR headers and a tune by Greg my numbers were 376.74hp and 374.99 ft lbs.

Just goes to show you how much can vary from car to car, weather, dynos, brands of headers and so on.

Wow, the car really wakes up with the cold air we've had recently. The increased torque had me going sideways when I punched it from a rolling start. I am very pleased with the dynocom tune so far. . I will be going to Auto Xtc this Friday for install of Wild Cowboys insulation kit. This will further reduce console heat and also decrease extraneous cabin noise and improve the stereo sound. I'll let you know how it goes. If you want to see the kit, go to www.exoticvette.com and check it out.
