That's really weird Rick. I would talk to Mike Thorp, the service manager, about your situation. I've found him to be a stand up guy and reasonable. Heck, use my name if it'll help. I've known Mike off and on for 12-15 years.

That's why car owners hate going to a dealer for service.

WTF...
They kept it for like a week, used up 1/2 of a tank of gas, couldn't fix the problem and gave you a bill .
Maybe you should bill them for your gas!!
How can they get away with doing that? It's NOT your fault that they were unable to fix it.
Do they have a form or whatever stating that "If we can't fix your car we still get paid X amount of $ ?
How do you even know their Mechanic is competent?
And now no Christmas presents!
Do like what mte.smiles says, go talk to Mike.
Good Luck!

Well the cars home.
I was told if they can figure out what the problem is they would be able to fix it
When I got in the car I looked at the gas gauge, they really only used a little over 1/4 tank.
I was told the charges are for diagnostic's, which they never diagnosed anything.
When I pulled into the garage at home and turned the key off I noticed my alarm light was on without the alarm being activated. So I guess they were fooling around with something.
I hope it will get through the holidays, I can't afford anymore bills right now anda after the first of the year, the Vette& I will take a trip to Seffner

Rick, any problem resolution? Someone somewhere has got to be able to diagnose the cause, the effect is obvious?

Ken
I didn't want to say anymore because it will probably jinx it. Since I brought the car home, I haven't had any issues I called my service adviser about the alarm light and he said the bypassed the alarm, as they believe that was the cause of the no start It's an aftermarket Viper alarm. I'm going to drive it a few more weeks and take it where my son-in-law works. They are a factory authorized Viper dealer.
So so far so good. Did I get my moneys worth from the dealer... well it's starting

OK I'll say no more. Glad (for the moment) the Vette is starting. Let me know in the long run if the Viper actually has been the cause.
Merry Christmas my friend.
