Thumbs up AntiVenom & Vette

Props to AntiVenom and their recent article in Vette magazine regarding "Gimme Fuel" I had forgotten that this machine existed and the article reminded me. I have a C-4 (1986) that has 205,000 miles on it and still has the original injectors that have never been touched! Needless to say it is running a bit rough and the mileage is pee-poor too!

The article mentioned that you will do the job for $185 but it wasn't clear if that was a total amount for taking off the injectors, cleaning and installing. A mail-in was $125; so I can surmize that for $60 you will do the job? I would like to take a drive down to Seffner to have this done. Let me know.

My 1985 C4 with 33,000 original miles on it has been running rough I have been thinking about replacing the injectors on it. I have never done it before. I did go over the job in my shop manual and it don't look to bad.

To clear things up, $125.00 is to do an injector cleaning (8 injectors)and flow test. $185.00 is for the rebuild of the injectors (rebuild means replace o-rings, filters, spacers, etc) Sending out a generic price on removal and replacement would be rather haphazard, as some cars are easy (ls1/lt1) and some are rather involved like the lt5 (zr1).Tuned port cars are somewhere in the middle. Not as tough as a zr1, but definately worse than the ls1. But, the drive in service starts at $225.00 for ls1/lt1 and ends at $455.00 for the ZR1 By the way there are 16 injectors in a ZR1.

Tell me what is the price for me to drive my stock '86 to your place and you do what was done in the article? Take them out, put in the machine and put them back in? $185 or $225?

Trying to clear things up, I guess that I clouded them worse. The tuned port cars require the plentum to be removed to properly access the injectors. The drive in price for tuned port service is $299.00. its a little more because we need to give you a new plentum gasket installed.
