Ken,

As I mentioned earlier, I have had my BB manifolds off a number of times. My '69 does not have AC so I don't know how much that will hinder you pulling the passenger side out from the top. On my car I can have the passenger side out in about 10 minutes. The driver's side is a little more difficult but should drop out through the bottom. Make sure you take the plugs out to give yourself a little more room.

Each time I have had mine out I have sprayed them with with a high temp Cast Blast. I take my time and apply 3 to 5 coats. But I make sure I only shoot very thing coats. This has worked for me and seems to last a while.
