I've been to and entered my '66 in car shows off and on since 2000 in NY. Today I entered my car into what is my first Florida car show since I've been here in a little over two years. I have NEVER experienced such a level of competence and organization on the part of the event coordinators; nor have I encountered such respectful (of the cars) spectators. It rained on the cars briefly, which is the first time my car saw rain in all the years I've owned it, and as I'm sure most would agree that can be quite annoying. Regardless, the day for me was still more pleasant than any NY car show in which I was a participant. Great people - great day - just wanted to share that!

You were lucky...it is not everyday that you encounter what you did at car shows around here...

I've heard similar opinions of FL car shows but don't know first hand. Be that as it may, I'll take my good experience and go with it. I won't look for the hair in the egg. I'm glad I was pleasantly surprised.
