Default power brake booster 84 vette

I have an 84 with 40,0000 original milage.

I brought my vette into shop as I was not sure if disc had to be changed or it was something else.
Turned out to be both. I let shop replace disc and calipers and I will do booster to save a few bucks.
I try to do my own work but hate doing brakes
SHop never mentioned about master cylinder only booster as pedal is hard and stopping is not good.
My plan is to purchase both and install cylinder first and if works great saves a job but if not and I have to change booster what can I expect????????
Any special tools???
Seems pretty straight forward. I have to remove 4 bolts from inside car and some sort of attachment too connect pedal.
I got an aftermarket at napa.

Any heads up would be appreciated
