Conclusions
Thanks for all the input.....
So here is what we have:
1. Will get the Ladies to look at me.
2. My ass won't get out the driveway.
3. It won't make me go any faster, unless I road course race.
4. The car will look cool.
Conclusion:
Leave it alone!!!
Thanks
Jim

I guess you could just get bigger tires and wheels to fill up the wheel wells to make it LOOK like it was lowered......
I guess if you lived in the salt flats out west, it would be practical, but not around here.

Like others, I think it looks cool. But I believe you made the right choice in leaving it alone.

And don't forget, you get to take speed bumps at 1 MPH on an angle to get over them.

Basically I agree with Greg when it comes to the "street car." If you're just driving to the store and around town, other than looks, it's more of a PITA. My 87 is lowered and I really have to watch it.
Of 1/4 mile, you're generally better off NOT having it lowered.
One advantage of lowering, although not a big one for our cars, is better mileage due to redused drag
For a road course/Autocross car, it will definately help, but again, you have to know what you're doing.
The one Rachelle mentioned might look stock, but what suspension pieces does it have underneath?
As a rule, any time you lower the CG, you're going to enhance "g" performance.
There's a lot more to it than that, but bottom line, do what you like
Personally, I'd lower it, but I drive (corner) hard and like the looks Not much of a 1/4 miler

You might want to talk to "Backyard Mechanic" about lowering your car. I don't know if this is true or not, but I heard that he lowered the "vette so low that it got stuck on a paint line in Publix parking lot. Like I said, wether it's true or not, thats LOW.

From what I have heard, that is false. However, I have heard reliable testimony that there are a lot of caterpillars in the area with flat tops.....
