After about 6 months of mulling it over, I'm finally going to take the plunge. I'm still in the early shopping stages, but I'm 100000000% decided and settled that I'm buying a Vette. I'm not sure of what model I'm buying, but I am currently leaning towards a 2012-13 base or GS.

Obviously, I've been doing a ton of online shopping all throughout the south, and due diligence in my research. Didn't know this site existed until I did some off the wall google searching, but I'm glad it does. I'm looking forward to learning new things, tips, and info about my new passion. Thanks for having me.

Yes, it will. My father in law has an 08 base. I've driven it a few times and love it.

Welcome to the site! If you're going to order one new I would suggest going to Bruce Glueck Chevrolet in Jasper, Florida. He has a website and you can get any Corvette at dealer invoice less any rebates. Check them out!

Yeah, you are going to enjoy the heck out of owning one. It will put a smile on your face every time you go out for a drive with it. When you have a headache, it's much more effective than Excedrin to just get out and take a drive. Headache will be gone.

I would imagine that there are DEEP discounts on C6s right now while most people are holding onto their money for the C7. Prices may drop even further once the dealers get their allotments. I bought my 2009 C6 Z06 when the 2010s were on the lots and got a MUCH better deal than what a 2010 was priced at. I imagine incentives to sell the C6s will be much stronger by Fall and Winter.

Don't be in a rush and wait for the deal that YOU want. Aim high, as you just may get much more for your dollar than you think.

Believe NOTHING that a salesman tells you, and go with your gut feeling. When you are driving your car you want to be smiling about the deal you got too...

Thanks Rich. I agree on the headache remedy. My plan was to keep an eye on the wire for a Vette that catches my eye. I, too suspect that I'll have some serious deals available to me in the coming months. Best part is I have full support from "She who must not be named" in getting exactly what I want. Been waiting an awful long time, so waiting a little more for the right one is no problem. Thanks for the welcome.

Yeah, having the wife on board with the decision will be a BIG help. Connie was a bit apprehensive with my decision at first, but it didn't take long before she was saying it was one of my better decisions.

If you have any questions, let us know and we'll try to help as much as we can. We've all probably already gone through the same thing you are going through now. Kind of like being a kid, knowing that Christmas time is coming, but not really knowing what day it will be.
