Default camber locking plates

Had a customer bring in a 2007 z06 he bought from a guy that autocrossed it. It had the locking plates installed. How the former owner raced with it like this, I can only imagine how it drove. Of course I couldn't fix camber or caster because he didn't have any extra plates. And flipping them around would have made it worse. moral of the story, don't put plates in and just assume it will be fine.

Gawd I hate sounding like a buffoon, but just what the heck are "locking plates"?

If you look at the bolts that mount your lower control arms to the cradle, they will have round offset washers called eccentrics. You move those around to adjust camber and caster, when performing an alignment. They have a tendancy to slip when cornering real hard like in sebring type racing. The aftermarket make replacement rectangular plates with varying offset holes. Use the ones that will give you the alignment you are looking for. They can't rotate out of place.
