Shuttle Launch
Seen one years ago when my kids were young. 2nd launch after the Columbia crash. At the time I was 40 gave me chills down my spine to see it at the Cape in person. These young'ens just take this stuff for granted, Guess when your 55 not much gives you that tingle down your spine except blowing a Mustangs doors off.
55 and luving every day

Looks like they will try again tonight at 8:47pm. I'll be at work, but I'm gonna try and get up on the roof to check it out.

Anyone get pics?? I could see the yellow/orange glowing ball of flame for a brief moment then it was gone in the clouds I guess. Then a little higher up I saw it again as a white light, then gone....have a safe trip folks!

I saw the launch on the Nasa channel, then after about 30 seconds into the launch I went outside and saw the shuttle for about 5 minutes. It was absolutely mindboggling to think that I saw and actual launch just after it happened. Next launch I'm going. We had a clear view, I was surprized that only one other neighbor came out to see it.

Just got home from the Space Coast Corvette Club Christmas Party. We were at a restaurant called Fish Lips at Port Canaveral. That is just south of the launch site. The view was awesome and we could hear and feel the rumble. I think our news letter editor took pictures. I will try and get one to post.
