Not going to happen. Obama was smart enough to hire a vice president that would be an even worse choice for president....

Fantastic ,the finial bill has been agreed on and it's on it's way for the President to sign.

Not one congressman has read it.I realize it's 1100 pages would take three days to read ,and maybe two days to review .OR ,you could get your staff to assist and maybe get read and reviewed in two days ,interesting concept congress has.

Yep, as you can see we really don’t need representatives since they only vote the way they are told to vote. They don’t even bother to read what they vote for. Why do we need to spend all the money we pay them in salary and benefits, we could just send in a cardboard cutout and Pelosi can just pull the yea or nea string.

From what I have heard, in many instances the bills come up for a vote before the bill is even in printed form. That's what they mean by "fast track".. You don't need to read it. It's all good. Trust us and vote for it.

One of the glaring problems with the US Constitution is that none of our congresscritters can be held liable nor accountable for what they do while in Congress. Our only allowable display of disgust is to vote them out of office.

If they were made legally liable for any damages caused by their voting, well perhaps then they would take more care about doing the job the constituents sent them to do.

And quite frankly, NO bill should be 1,100 pages long in the first place. No representative should have to vote for a multi-item bill where they have to take any bad parts of it along with the good parts. Each "part" should be a separate item to be voted on based on it's own merits. This is how crap gets slipped into becoming law that wouldn't have a chance if voted on by itself.

Ah...... Maybe I really do need to check into moving to Costa Rica. This "land of the free" hasn't been that way for a long, long time. And quite likely to get much worse before too long.

So what do we do? Just sit back and take it?
The people who voted these clowns in expect the government to take care of them and as long as this administration does it (socialism) they will keep being voted in.
I don't know what the answer is but something needs to be done. I can't take this crap anymore.

My thought is this...relax...

He's and his knuckleheads are going to do what they're going to do and other than ranting and raving about it, getting your BP up over safe limits and risking a freaking stroke, there's just not much "we the people? can do anymore...until the next election

He has about 2 years to come up with something to make things change. If he can't accomplish MAJOR POSITIVE changes within that time frame, his support will change. With that change, congress will change (by vote) and once again, his support will dissapear.

He will be a lame duck president for the last 1/2 of his term and the last place he'll see the White house is in the rear view mirror of his car

The few that voted for him simply because of race or nationality, will continue to vote that way because they're, well, f**king stupid!!! If you vote for anyone simply for those reasons without knowledge of the persons positions and ideologies, then you're a fool!

The remainder of the country that voted for his "change" and on his promises, will be disenfranchised and will not re-elect him next time.

In the mean time, pay off your bills, stach a little cash, try to find something to do that is either recession proof or at least you have some level of control over, and get ready for some really sweet deals on cars and houses

You are right Gordon. We need to hang in there for November '10 and maybe people will see what is really going on and vote differently.
Huckabee just named the stimulus plan as:

Congressional
Relief
Assistance
Plan

Very appropriate!
