That way, everyone gets a chance to peruse and you're getting hit with redundant pms. It's a win-win for everyone

Also, modding the car alone will not necessarily void a warranty. It depends on the modification, the vehicle or part failure and the ability to encase one withon the other
I will dig it up later...lots of Q&A...

yeah its true they cannot deny warranty for an alternator for an exhaust system....apples and oranges.....this new GM directive concerns tuning and the changing of parameters in the computer(s). GM sells bolt on Mods so if you wanna mod and not worry buy GM approved bolt on mods or one of those GM approved Callaway cars.

I will post up the info later...if no one minds I may post up the link from CF with all the Q&A just to save time.

Ok....its alot of reading....sort thru the BS and determine your version of the truth and do with the info as you see fit. There are tuners, especially KaTech who works with GM alot with input throughout the thread as well as Adam Boca from the NCM who was present during the conference call with GM. At this time the technology has not been turned loose as the attorneys for GM are still sewing things up it would seem. Ultimately it will come down to the dealer actually employing the technology to check your car out....there is mention that if it is found out later there will be charge backs etc to the dealer so I suspect that they will err on the side of caution when approving warranty work for any failure that could be attributed to tampering.

Have fun...

Probably to a lot of people, it just won't matter much. Once someone starts seriously modding their car, an engine gone bad just means getting a better one to replace it and warranty be damned anyway....

If my LS6 goes *pop*, I'll be on the phone getting a 427 built as a replacement. Kind of a cloud with a silver lining effect.

I hear ya Rich....once you go internal or into the computer you "should have" already come to the realization that warranty work with regards to powertrain are out the window. If you haven't you are fooling yourself. I waited until I was out of warranty to do a cam....then I figured...WTH...lets get blown
