Arrow Corrosion Repair

I have a 1976 with some corrosion issues on the rh and lh floor pans...seat pans are ok, but have a leak coming in what looks like the wiper compartment...a bit of rust through on the passenger side, but it does not appear to be affecting the entire pan...i would like to repair the pan vice replace....any ideas as to repair or recommendations as well as how to plug the leak....appreciate any tips...i am in Tampa, so if you know of any place that might do the metalwork would appreciate a heads up....

The C3 has very common leakage issues in the wiper valley. There was a TSB back then about sealing the wiper valley with undercoating spray. Many of my C3's had this done by the dealer. I'm sure there are better alternatives today. Also check the "doughnut/gasket" where the steering column comes through the firewall. Poor fit or totally left out during production was not uncommon. Once you get this done, then you can attack the corrosion.

One other common area of leakage is around the outside air vent on the passenger side. The gasket tends to fail with age, not to mention the vacuum solenoid does not close the door fully. Very crappy linkage. Hope these cobweb memories help.

my 75 had the same leak. the undercoating did not work. i had to scrape it all off and use a body seam sealer that i got from an aoutomotive paint supply store. it worked well for me.
