Default HVAC problem...

Yesterday when Connie (my wife) and I were heading out to Fernandina Beach, I noticed the inside of the car felt warmer than it should have. I just had the vent control open for outside air and the temps were rather comfortable. Come to find out that the passenger side vents were blowing hot air. I played around with the controls, but nothing seemed to stop the hot air blowing. Even with the A/C on, the driver side vents were blowing cold air, and the passenger side blowing HOT. Now what the hell.....

I looked through the service manuals and there appears to be an actuator that could be causing the problem. Going to run up to Champion Chevrolet early Monday and let them take a look at it. They never seem to carry parts there, so at best hopefully the tech can identify the problem and get the part on order. Actually, what I SHOULD DO is tell him to just go ahead and order the most expensive part it could possibly be causing the problem. Nine times out of ten I would be right about the diagnosis....
