Default hello from another new guy

Hi everyone, I am proud to say I finally got a 'vette. 2005 6 speed vert. i've already gotten great info from this site, so thanks. I have been looking around the site to find opinions on aftermarket exhaust systems, I'm sure the subject has been talked to death. I know the info is here, just not sure where to find it. Bye for now.

Welcome aboard!

Probably the best thing to do is to attend various Corvette gatherings and see (and hear!) what other people are using. It's really a subjective topic, so you really need to see what YOU like, which might not necessarily be what someone else likes.

Welcome to the club !

As stated before, the best thing to do is to go out to car shows and gathering, and have the owner start up their car for you.

I like the GHLs on my car

Have had my 05 since it had 2K miles on it....now it is nearing 40K and exhaust sounds better every day that goes by....

I agree with Rich. Exhaust sound is a very subjective thing, to best find the right one for you you need to hear it in person, not an audio sound track. I went from stock to AA mod to Borla to Ti's on my C5. The Ti's suit me best.

to the FORUM and a great bunch of folks. With the C6 style, we have the option of Mild to Wild switch to open or shut exhaust. That way you can open it up for incredible muscle car sound or run quiet if you cruisin with your honey or just want to talk. Drone can be a nuisance with after market system and wear on you and I would try to listen to all the ones you are interested in on cars, not on audio files!!!
Perhaps the M2W would work for the C5 too. Worth exploring. Good luck.
PS: Drone will increase even more with headers if you have them.

Welcome!!!

The Mild to Wild switch choice was the right one for me. Close when the wife is in the car and open when I want to hear the rumble.

I will be posting my Mid-America Quad Cruisers for sale in a couple of weeks when I head back to Florida.
