Interesting. I can just see the mushroom cloud now as it ignites the gas in my Z's tank. Or the half dozen or so dead pets scattered around the car.

Actually I like the idea of a cat deterrent. I guess the little furballs would be stuck on the roof of the carport because of the static charge...

I used to play around with Tesla coils as a kid. Matter of fact, I still have one around here somewhere. Only problem with one that size is that the primary coil (a Tesla coil is basically an open air transformer) would have lethal (like NO second chances) current. Not to mention that the RF noise would probably destroy all the electronics in the car itself.

If you want to read about a REAL interesting guy, read up on Nikola Tesla. The guy was WAY before his time. Plus the controversy between him and Thomas Edison makes for a pretty good read.
