Hello Fellow Vette Lovers
Saw this site on CF and slid on by. Chose a screen name to reflect my current job as LEO after I saw LC's (C5STATETROOPER) showing his pride in the profession. I have relatives in FHP so I have always been around them even before I took up the job myself.
I have read negative posts about LEO in CF threads, and it starts to really irk me to hear the stereotypical bashing of LEO's from an anonymous screen name. In looking at this site I see that normal informative discussions are held here and not just bashing of the cops. I see there's an occasional request for our point of view so I'll be glad to put my .02 cents in when I can.
Thank you, and see you guys around!

Welcome buddy!
Stereotypes are crap, I know it first hand. You'll never hear one from me.

Hello HP, and welcome to the forum. Yeah, I think most of the current members appreciate input from our LEO's. Hey, you have a scary job to do and I for one appreciate it very much . Welcome and we look forward to your participation!...........Tom

Actually, I really can't imagine why anyone WOULDN'T want a professional's opinion about anything.
Anyway, to the club. Pull up a keyboard and join in.

I think you will find this is a pretty decent group of people that has come together in a relatively short period of time.
At some point you will probably get poked at, just like the rest of us, but it will be in fun, and not because of your profession.

I guess I missed your welcome to the site.
I think most of the people that bash LEO's should be bashed themselves. I've had my fair share of tickets in the past and there is only one person to blame...me! I deserved every one. They think you are out to take away their fun. While we all enjoy driving fast, there are safer ways of doing it. Although some of us do have an occasional brain fart and do something stupid.

Welcome, I'm a newcomer also....
Unfortunately, as in all aspects with life, there is the good and the bad, and just as unfortunately you LEO's seem to take it on the chin more....
I've always believed that everyone should be able to express their opinon, AS LONG as it's done in a respectful manner.
I know I don't mind sharing mine....
Like most people I applaud your and your fellow officers efforts in doing a usually thankless job. I know I couldn't do it. It's too bad that an occasional rotten apple cast a stain on the barrel, and it's certainly not restricted to law enforcement. I'm a cabinetmaker, and we have the same problems in the construction industry.
Anyway, welcome....
