I guess anyone who posts an outside link to another site is now considered to be "soliciting" over there?

Maybe we are getting big enough that some people consider us as "competition" to their member base....

Oh well...

At least CorvetteForum didn't find my posting offensive.

Like the one fellow stated..."If I find another place that treats me better, etc etc I'm going to that site" (or something like that). I say, What's the problem with a little compitition?

I mean like Really...Some People are so paranoid! Besides, If your site is All That, you've got nothing to be worried about!

I am sure Richz meant no harm to their site

.They have their rules and until 1 of them is broken who the Hell would know unless you read all the bye laws

.There is another forum that i'm very active and they do not mine other Corvette site links.Matter of fact one of the head guys uses Corvette forum crap all the time.

They must be losing members to be sweating this

Just for the record, no posts here will get deleted or edited because they may point to another website. Regardless of whether you are the admin there or not. And you can even say "CorvetteForum.com" and "Z06Vette.com" without sanctions or penalties. However, "DigitalCorvettes.com" may be another story.....

Seriously guys, you can't stop anyone from going anywhere on the web when it only takes a click of a mouse button to get there. So why get all worked up over trying to do so? Going into 'Hotel California" mode is ill advised for any website.

It's all about CORVETTES, not trying to hold onto turf.

I am a member of Z06Vette as well. Some of you have seen my Z with a sticker supporting the site. I PM'd Mike and asked him if I had posted the same thread would the outcome have been any different. I told him that I have intentionally and unintentionally recruited members for this site by linking photos or threads from here as well as flat out asking.

I was under the impression that it was not against the rules there to link here, as long as you didn't have to sign up here to view the thread. I was not aware of the admin rule as that caused this problem.
