I had an opportunity to buy one of these in the 70's but I had just bought a new truck and couldn't sell it. It was a 327 FI but the FI had been replaced with a Holley. It belonged to a Chief I worked with in the Navy. He was retiring and didn't want to ship it home to Minnesota. He had bought it for his wife but she found a 1970 LT-1 that she liked better and he had a '59 that he drove. I could have got it for $4200.00. I'll bet he regrets not keeping it as much as I regret not buying it.....

little more accomplished today. only one broken bolt. had to be in the pumpkin housing. trailing arm bushings had been replaced before. previous mechanic burned the old bushings out, left the old outer shells, and installed some sort of replacement bushing. don't know why as i easily removed the old shells. possible was afraid they would bend the arm.
