HUD lighting
Have seen this kinda touched on before but the cant then was a windshield after a HUD install.
Is there a way to brighten my HUD beyond what the slide switch will allow me to do? These ole eyes could use a bit more illumination.

Hey Ken,
I don't know of a way to brighten your HUD other than the adjustment on the dash. One thing I did discover was that if I wear polarizing sun glasses while driving, it really cuts down on the HUD visibility. If this is your situation, try a cheap pair of non polarizing sun glasses and you might see some improvement.
I hope this helps!
Rich

Ken,
You may want to check to make sure you have the correct windshield in your car. If it had been replaced in the past, it's always possible that a non-HUD compatible windshield was used by mistake. From what I recall, they ARE different, and visibility of the display is the difference.

Windshield is the original (an HUD windshield) maybe I'll try Rich427 suggestion ref glasses. I can live with it the way it is and I love HUD so maybe I just get used to it and switch sun glasses.
Thanks guys

Yeah, once you drive a car with HUD, it's REALLY hard to live without it....

I have had trouble seeing mine in the daytime depending on the way the sun reflects, then with the HUD illuminaiton at the same setting it is easy to see going away from the sun, in the shade, or at night. Or as they say it is the difference between night and day.
