[C5] Home Link install

Am getting into the install of a Home Link transmitter so as to allow me to do away with my visor hanging remote garage door opener. Found the "how to" on another forum and sounds great.

Bought the unit used on flea bay and will (probably tomorrow) remove the sun visor and begin (may the gods be with me).

Has anyone on our forum done this? What were the issues or what were the difficulties you ran into?

Ken, from everything I've heard, they usually just program right up according to the instructions and work very well. I've never actually installed one into a vehicle that didn't have one though! My father in law's car came with one built in, and it was a snap to program and worked without a hiccup until we got rid of the car after he passed away. Good luck with it, and let us know how you make out.

Thanks Andy, I hear the same about ease of programing and a link is even available to the Home Link sight which walks you through the whole programing process.

Seems I just need to find an upholster to restitch the visor after the fact.
