As far as My Brand New set of heads this way??Phuck No,I'd be P*ssed!!!:toetap05:

I think you would be right for asking for new parts when you paid for new parts. However, I believe the fix is ok, I think you should get a full lifetime replacement warranty if anything ever happened and ask for a partial refund for your time and troubles. Anything less than those two options for keeping their customer satified, I would look into legal action.

OK, here's where we stand at the moment.

Chris has told me that the pistons put into the block are what would be required for a 9.5:1 compression ratio. He said he spoke to Bryan at LME this morning and Bryan said that the amount of metal shaved from the heads was negligible. Only enough to square up, or true, the heads to the block. Bryan also said he would port match the FAST intake manifold to the heads for free to alleviate my concerns about that issue, so Chris will be sending off the intake manifold today to LME.

Billy at World products said he WOULD guarantee those mounting holes for the intake manifold on the heads for life, but would not guarantee them against stripping if someone damaged them during repair or mod work.

It appears that the issue here was that the intake manifold bolts on the heads had been misdrilled by World Products. The reason that they chose to not replace the heads was because there was a log of machining done in order to mount those Jesel rocker arms on those heads. This is all machining that LME would have had to duplicate on the new heads again, and since the only issue appeared to be with the intake manifold holes, it didn't seem reasonable to replace the heads instead of fixing the hole locations.

This all sounds reasonable to me, so it appears that things can now go forward. Finally.....

Good news it sounds like!

Latest status.

I got an email from Bryan at LME stating that they have gotten the heads back from World Products. They will begin putting the engine back together on Monday and are awaiting the intake manifold to do the porting process. So I'm guessing that as long as the manifold gets there early this week, they may be able to ship the engine back to Chris the later part of the week. Which means he may get it the following week. Hopefully they will use a different carrier so it doesn't take 12 days like it did for the engine to get to LME from Blountstown....

Chris told me today that the intake manifold got to LME today, and they may get the porting done today or tomorrow. Quite likely the engine will be packed up to ship back Wednesday or Thursday. So I'm guessing it will be back in Blountstown by maybe mid next week.

I asked Chris to send the turbos off to have them Jet Hot coated, so they are on the way out there. Hopefully the turn around time will be quick enough to now hold up things once the engine is back.

I sure am looking forward to having this over and done with so I can bring my car back home.

I got a notice from Bryan at LME that my engine was shipped on Thursday. The tracking info from LME states that it is scheduled to be delivered early this week, but I'm not sure if the delivery point is actually on site at Xtreme or a central depot needing to be picked up. Regardless, I'm hoping the work can then be picked up where it left off ASAP. I'll be over there with camcorders rolling to get as much as I can on video. Hopefully no more major snags will crop up from here on out...

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you....

Yeah, I don't have anything else planned this entire week, so I'm going to be haunting Chris's shop. That reminds me, I've got to clear out a bunch of files out of those camcorders before Monday.

Damn..... I'm checking the tracking info on my engine and as of now, it is still showing sitting on the loading dock up in Birmingham.

Come on guys! Yeah, I know it's cold outside but let's shake a leg here! The "Committed Delivery" date is showing as 01/11/2010 so you better get a moving on this.....

Yeah, just try to tell me that the omens for this build aren't ALL bad.... :nonod:

Good morning Rich!

We have had some severe weather delays in the Birmingham area that have caused some delays in transit. Unfortunately, your shipment was one of them. The good news is, it looks like it will only cause a day in delay.

Your best option may be to contact the delivering terminal (for this shipment, that is our Dothan office @ 800.527.7335) to see if they can arrange a morning delivery for you on tomorrow, 1/12.

Thank you and have a great day!

Hopefully they haven't updated the tracking info and it'll show up today. Maybe they left at like 5am this morning. :P Then it should be here around 3-4pm.

Nevermind...that sucks. :banghead:

I wonder what kind of severe weather they had in Birmingham? Did they get snow up that way?
