• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. So if you need help figuring it out, here's the thread you need to take a look at -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3581 Thank you, everyone! Rich Z.

  • Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue. If the problem you speak of is actually very small pinhole sized dots in the surface of the clear, then there really is no cure besides a repaint. If you were to sand the surface down far enough to remove them(which you still may not even do so) you are jeapordizing your clearcoat by the time you polish it back out. Hope this helps! Is there any way you can take pictures?
    Hello,
Just came across your postings and thought you may be able t help me. I just bought a 2001 yellow corvette. The car was a daily driver although it has lowish miles. I didnt notice at first(excitement maybe !), but I just discovered the top surfaces are covered in what looks like small pits in the clearcoat. I have never seen anything like it, but you cannot see them until you get close up at an angle.
I was wondering if you have a product that may be able to remove or reduce them, without going through the clearcoat layer.
    Thanks
    Sean
