    Rain today

It heartbreaking, I know. When I was a deputy sheriff I worked several hurricanes both in my county and across the state of Florida. I was assigned the little town of Panacea during Danny in 2005 IIRC. I was told that high tide was at 1100 hours and I was monitoring Highway 98 all morning as the...

Well, I guess I have caught redneckitis....

If I had known of these guys I may have bought mine from them. They have a lifetime power train warranty to the original purchaser and their prices are more in line with the guy I bought mine from. Lee quoted me $3600 more than I paid for mine and was going to add freight on top of that.

Well, I guess I have caught redneckitis....

I finally hit 50 hours on my Tym 2610 and called Dixie Horse and Mule in Newton, Alabama this morning to see about making an appointment to get the service done. Spoke with Don, I told him that I had bought it in North Carolina. He said bring it! Got there around 11:00 their time (Central) and...

    Fall/Winter 2024

Yeah, it was 33 in Kentucky Wednesday morning, had frost on the windshield. It even felt good in Orlando and Lakeland yesterday. I'm wondering if we're going to see a cold, snowy winter in our travels this year. The past two have been relatively mild, almost no snow up there.

    Rain today

Supposedly this front that's keeping the storm from heading north. It's causing wind shear and injecting drier air. Sounds good anyway.

    Rain today

All I can say is wow! From Cat 1 to Cat 5 and winds of 175 MPH! Has this ever been recorded before?! https://www.wctv.tv/2024/10/07/tropics-blog-milton-rapidly-intensifies-overnight-alerts-place-sunshine-state/

    Rain today

And now this! It's pretty weird because we practically never see a system moving from west to east. Our Florida run may cancel again this week. It's early yet but still, anywhere from 8 to 18 inches of rain will cause MAJOR flooding across central and south Florida...

    Rain today

Amazing! No damage, just a few small limbs down and 3 1/2 inches of rain. We didn't even lose power. So glad it moved to the east! Sorry for Perry Florida though. And it looks like North Carolina is getting destroyed with all the flooding! It took out I-40!
