Greetings from Finland!


I'm coming to Florida at start of -09 for a holiday

I was wondering if you could suggest some good corvette shops if FL (near Orlando) ? (perf parts)

My car is -99 C5.
mods:cam, ported head, magnaflow exh, dynatech headers, bigger maf & TB. Z06 intake etc...

Near Orlando you have Norris Motorsports ( I think the name has changed but someone will correct me I'm sure), Ecklers in Titusville, not that far away.

Anyone else want to chime in here?

Antivenom is not too far from Orlando. If you come all the way from Finland what's another hour.

These folks are right beside Roger's Corvette (Corvette Dealer) and Burke's Corvette (Body/Paint/Resto) and they do mechanicals....so you have three services within 100' of each other:

after getting the parts from Ecklers', you could visit Ron Wood of Corvette Interiors Plus on Route 50 (Cheney Highway), to have those parts installed. Ecklers is about a mile and a half from Ron's shop. He is the only one who works on my '82.

If engine work is needed, he farms it out to the only guy who does engines for him. He has worked on my 82s', Cross Fire Injection, so, there is some knowledge still around for that engine.

You want paint? The only guy who does paint for Ron is 'Bodys by Doug'...and if any of you saw our 82 at the UCP, it wears paint done by Doug.

Its not the prettiest shop in town, but then again, what shop does when the mechanic actually does work!

Yes you are correct about how lucky Florida is with all their shops...
Some are good some are bad , you have to do you research on all of them and you will find the one that's right for you.

Most people have not tried EVERY SHOP out there so they can't really say who's the best and who's not it all depends on what YOU want corvette wise. I hope you enjoy your stay in beautiful Florida !
