Photoshop
I've been playing around with Photoshop when I get a chance. Learning from books and from some guys on another site. There is a class that I would love to take from the author of the book I'm using. He just happens to live in the Tampa Bay area. Anyway, I'll post the pictures in here.

I just discovered photo shop too. Heres a few of my creations.
My car in graphic pen mode I think it was called,
And a 2004 Z06 hood emblem in "neon" reverse,
And some with blurred backgrounds.

MADN3SS, I've been trying to figure out the black and white thing but haven't quite gotten it yet. I have a photo program that's not as fancy but it will do the negative photo, black and white, and pressed tin appearances.
Well I'll keep on trying.

Heck, I have played with Photoshop for years but I certainly don't consider myself an expert. And I love the filters you can apply to some photos. Neat idea doing this with the car pics. Maybe if I get a chance I'll play too.....

I love the graphic pen mode! I'll have to see if photshop has something like this. I have a few more that I want to do. I'll post 'em when I do them.

This would be my graphic pen entry.
And a colored pencil of just the background for good measure
I tried learning how to do just a color change on the car. I didn't outline the car very well, so whatever color I made it, it had a little silver around the edges.

Yeah, using color sections to select only a particular object can be tough unless there is a stark difference between the object and the rest of the photo. You can sometimes do a better job by first selecting a rough area around the object to limit where the selection will act on. Trying to do an actual outline by hand can be pretty tedious to do. And I have yet to find any software product that does a real good job of it.

Yeah, I've pretty much cut out the car by hand. I've tried the lasso tool, which is very hard. The easier way to get the car I believe is to create a duplicate layer, then make the background invisible. Then erase everything but the car.
