Hello Gang,
My Names Ronnie and I too am a die hard enthusiast who reads rules and values and what years to avoid ,and what to look for in the new (pre owned market)the forums as much as possible.

I need help and advice. My 88 vette convertible with 70k miles on it was totaled after that flood we had dec 16 in fort lauderdale. I seem to feel that now as a buyer again my emotions are taking over and all the knowledge i've gained from the forum members posts and my own experience has flown out the window. I feel like I forgot all the abc's in buying

My budget since the insurance company hacked me into pieces is between 8-11k.

maybe 12.

Ideally and strongly I want a convertible. I trust the members here more so than a dealer or private owner who doesn't fully understand (baby my car)

Please give me advice. I only have 20 days left to purchase one or my premiums will sky rocket.
