Z06Fever! Well, why not? Having one of these toys is definitely an illness for which there is no cure, so let's talk about this specific malady. |

I've got the itch...
And I'm starting to scratch. Spent this weekend beginning to look for a C5 ZO6. Doing some research on the 2002-2004 models. It's gonna take some time to get out to look at cars, but I'm in no big hurry. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Good luck in your search. There are a lot of them out there to choose from, with pretty low miles. If you go for an '02, try to find one built later in the run. The earlier ones seem to have shared some of the '01 oil consumption problems. My '02 was built in May of '02 and seems to have escaped any oil issues.

OOOOH got the itch too, huh?
I know the feeling, that is what put the '04 Z06 Z16 in the garage a couple months ago. In fact, in April I am going to Pocono for the NCCC East Region driving school. Going to go ahead and get my high speed license. Can't wait!
Stay focus'd on what you want and don't settle for something that you don't want. They are out there, just take your time and it will happen. I found the Z16 about 15 minutes from my house with 5,900 miles on it. You'll find yours, but I am betting your Z06 will be black!

Speaking of taking your time to find the right car. My wife and I had been looking for the right car for a few months, I was beginning to feel like I wasn't going to buy a vette, just shop, over and over.........
But we did find the car we were looking for, Mill.Yellow, M6, Convertable, less than 20k miles.
We stuck to our priorities....it took us a while, but we Did Not Settle !

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your good wishes.
Rich...high speed license, huh? How exciting!!... Not sure the Z will be black... I'm trying to leave the color open. Only that it will be dark, no silver or white or gray. The '04's up for sale or trade which ever comes first but I'm not going to keep both...
98Softail, looks like patience paid off for you. Sounds like a very nice vette. I am a patient person. I waited on my '04 until I found the price and options I wanted. So, I don't think I'm going to have to settle.
Ray.......thanks!!

I am shocked Linda!?!?! I thought black was the only color that you would consider. Well, there are plenty Z06s out there just make sure that you find one that talks to you. Then you will know that is the right color!

Ok, now you've gone and jinxed it, Rich. Those you speak of have been behaving themselves so far...
