Im amazed the possibility seems to have never entered his mind, in fact I'm amazed it didn,t as all moms would say "PUT YOUR EYE OUT with THAT DAMN THING"
but maybe because Ive used and hunted small game with a similar device, and 1/2" balls are deadly on small game

58 caliber cast lead balls work even better, and BOUNCE BACKS are reduced significantly
 
that video might have been staged but Ive actually seen my not too brilliant friend launch a 1/2" DIAM. steel ball bearing from a sling shot against a concrete wall and have bounce back leave him crumpled with a noticeable black & blue bruise on his chest THE SIZE OF A GOLF BALL
