Who's into raffles?

I got an email from the NCM and part of it showcased the Museum's upcoming C7 raffles. The odds don't seem bad, at least to me. Sure, there's only one winner, but in this instance, one of the raffles gives the purchaser a 1 chance in 1000 for $200, another gives 1 in 2014 for $100 ,,, and the other is 1 in who-knows (unlimited).

I've NEVER bought any raffle ticket that cost anywhere near this amount, but since I intend on getting a C7 (fairly soon) I must say I am toying with the idea of doing this. What's your thought on this.

Which, if any, would you go for?

I guess it depends on just how lucky you think you are. I wish it were otherwise, but my luck has NEVER been good in games of chance.

In this case, probably the best attitude to have going into it is to just accept that you are simply making a donation to the museum with a little bit of icing on top with the CHANCE to win a car.

Honestly, if they would accept Paypal payments, I would probably play the game myself just for grins.

When biz was better I used to buy fairly often, but have never been lucky.
NCM has 3 or 4 raffles going all the time now, if you miss 1 wait a week.

I'd say go for it. Bought a few myself and didn't win. The money goes to a great museum. GOOD LUCK!!!!!:dancer01:

Another consideration is that even if you win, you will have to fork out state sales tax and income tax on your winnings. I don't believe the museum pays for them. Kind of a cloud around the silver lining.
