C5 Emblem difference????

Can anyone offer any direct insight into parts difference by GM parts numbers?

The parts numbers are for front and rear emblems for my 2003 Z06. Front part number 19207387 has two alignment pegs, rear part number 19207386. Other then the pegs are they identical ?

I ordered a replacement for each but screwed up the orders and ordered two fronts (of course) from 2 different organizations. One (front) has been received and installed and the second one is due here tomorrow. My thoughts being if they are identical other then the pegs then I'll just remove the pegs.:ack2:

Hey Kap....I have only had to replace my front emblem on my 2003 Z06 but it looks identical to the rear. Don't know why there would be 2 diff part numbers unless it is the pegs.....so it should not make any difference as far as the look. They are expensive little buggers..............:)

Hey zzzona, long time no talk. Can you do a quick measurement on the size of the rear anniversary emblem, just height and width?

Not even GM can tell me if they are exactly the same.

Thanks dude,

Ken

Both are 6 1/2 in.wide by 3 1/4 high.(from the bottom of the flags to top)depth is the same... can't visually see any difference....

HIYA Ken!
How the heck are you and Carrie doing?
Hope you're finding enuf time to wear the tires down on that Z06! LOL

Hey Andy, We are fine and just letting Carrie finish out her (just under) three years so we can move to the mountains.

How are you and Dottie?:wavey:

Retired December 18th, and are now O-fishially sno-birds.
Came south on January 1, and are going back on May 11-12.
It's a WHOLE lot different being retired, and I'm really not
enjoying it all that much, but maybe it"ll change after awhile.
Dot and I are doing well, and looking forward to getting back
north to see the Grandsons, but we"re not in a hurry if there"s
any snow left! Say HI to Carrie for us!
Dot and Andy :wavey:

What is it about retirement that you don't like, Andy? Too much time on your hands?

Don't like Florida all that much.............not a "sun, sand, and surf" kinda guy.
I really prefer mountains over Florida, and think that I would be much happier
in Colorado, and I don't really like that I'm not in the "work routine" any more.
To be perfectly honest, I really liked the work that I did and the guys that I
worked with, and am finding that I'm missing it now that I don't have it.
Andy :wavey:

Man, sorry to hear that. I thought you were really gung-ho about moving down to Florida when you retired.

So what is keeping you from moving out to Colorado? I think I would like that area, especially having a Jeep, but from what I understand they are afflicted with that white stuff during the Winter months, and I can't see myself ever living where snow will be a common event.

Perhaps you need to just give the retirement thing some time. Maybe take up some hobbies that you never had time for before. I've heard of people having their health go rapidly downhill after retiring, so try to stay positive about things and try to make your new found freedom a time to pursue what interests you.

Heck, since I retired, I can't imagine how I ever got anything I wanted to do accomplished with things I had to do sucking away so much of my time.

Hope you can find what you want to do with the rest of your life and it keeps you looking forward to every tomorrow.
