XtremeMotorSports

JIM KILL

TampaBay Vettes
I was traveling yesterday between Tallahassee and Panama City and had the opportunity to stop by and visit Chris Harwood and the staff of XtremeMotorSports. The shop is located in Blounts Town, Florida which is about half-way between Tall and PC. Chris did not know I was coming and when I showed up he stopped everything he was doing and gave me a full tour of his shop. Chris cranked up the "C5R" for me and I will tell that Corvette shook the whole building. The car is a Beast!!!
If you all are in the area I would recommend you stop by to see Chris and the gang. The shop is what a Corvette shop is suppose to look like. He had 10 bays with offices and showroom with lots of toys to see. He had several Corvettes being worked on in several stages of modifications. I went by to discuss a new clutch for the "Zee" and Chris gave me all the right information and prices.

Sounds awesome...sounds like the kind of shop we all would love to have nearby. Makes you wonder why a facility like that would be located in Blountstown:shrug01:??

Thanks Jim for the compliments!!!!
And about Blountstown, we considered several locations but when it came down to it, we chose Blountstown because it was a centralized location for all. I am about 1 hour from the 3 major cities in this area Tallahassee, Dothan and Panama City.
I have actually had people as far away as Atlanta, Birmingham and Mississippi call me and get some work done at my shop. Not bragging at all I just believe if you turn out quality work and are trustworthy" THEY WILL COME" !!!
Again thanks and I hope to see some more people stop by for a visit.

BlountsTown

We will see you alot more. We just got awarded the New High School / Middle School Design for BlountsTown. That should have me in town for the next two years. So you will probably have a Tampa client soon!!

Best
:hehehe: Jim :hehehe:

Wow, Congrats Jim!!!! That's awesome!!
Look forward to seeing more of you and your Vette at the shop!!

Yeah! I was at Chris's place this past Friday to have a DeWitts radiator installed along with a few other underhood goodies. While I was there Chris put the C5Z on the dyno and noted that under boost it is running WAY too rich. I too noticed the black smoke coming out of the exhaust, which I had noticed before. Was supposed to go out there this upcoming Thursday, but I've got to be on a jury that day, so that screwed that plan.

The place looks real nice and Chris was very gracious showing Connie and I around the place. They are only about an hour away from us, so it's not an overnight affair to get the car there for work.

All in all, highly recommended....

Im so glad there is something up there, So many people call and ask and I never know what to say, now I do!

I guess I will still see Rich and Connie at events:-p But now you dont have to spend a couple of grand just on gas, thats now mod money..lol,

Heck yeah. It's not so much the cost of driving down to Tampa as it is the time. Figure on just getting there and back eats up 9 to 10 hours. Dropping one of the vehicles off down there means that travel time is doubled. At certain times of the year, that kind of spare time is just impossible for us to come up with. Heck, we've been trying to get down to Englewood to see my mom since January............

But you guys are still like family to us. And truth be known, we see you just as often as we DO see our family..... :ack2:

Nice shop guy's!!! Send us your contact info so we can refer owners in that area to you. & we will send you are product catalog w/WD pricing.

I am from the Panhandle area in Ft. Walton Bch. and was very happy to have found out about Chris @ Xtreme Motorsports. He installed a ProCharger/intercooler and Fidanza/ Spec stage 2 clutch/flywheel combo on my 03' Z06. Chris is very knowledgable of all things Corvette and I couldn't be happier with his work, except now I have a traction problem and need new tires. Ha Ha

Man, that's a REAL nice looking torque curve. Almost a straight line!

Impressive

Thanks Chris.....That is very Impressive....541HP..."THATS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!!!".....With those numbers, I can wait awhile to get the C6, Z06 at 505HP. Saving up my coins right now!!!!!!

Jim,
As you can tell by the dyno sheet my Z is now in the "beastly" category. Absolutely a blur when its pulling in 3rd. gear. I would like to try some drag radials and see what she can really do as 1st. and 2nd.spin alot if you don't ease into it and traction control can't keep up. Changing out the clutch/flywheel was a very wise thing as the stock unit was not long for this world.(75,000k)(Everyday driver)Flywheel does just as advertised by spinning faster on accel and decel. Spec 2 is also a little different than stock in take-up but really hooks with a positive feel. Took about 2 weeks to get used to the difference. And as for the C6 Z. my car is faster than a stock one and alot cheaper and is totally stealth.

Isn't that 505 hp of the C6 Z06 at the flywheel, whereas Dan's 541 hp is at the rear wheels?

Do you have the aluminum flywheel? Kind of curious how different the aluminum one would be with regular street driving.

Yes.......it's app. 630hp at the flywheel. Street driving is not any different than stock setup, just a slight change in take-up from a standstill.
