:hehehe: JIM :hehehe:
I'll second that motion! The Doktor says our goal is to deliver 4000 pounds of food to RCS + $1500 to Alzheimer's Respite Care Services.

I am told of a RARE Big Block Chevelle convertible that is supposedly coming and will be loaded down with food!

As for the cash to Respite Care Services, we have at least 5 gift baskets to be raffled. Items include:

  • 2 Twosome rounds of golf w/cart at the Countryside Country Club.
  • Gift cards to Total Wine, Grillsmith, Carrabba's, Flamestone Grill, Beef O'Bradys, and others.
  • Specialty coffees and items from Barnie's, Starbucks, and Columbia Restaurant.
  • Complete Car Care Kits from Griot's Garage (The Official Detailing Products for Steak-Out).
  • Konstruck Toys (ages 3 > at least 62).
  • Strong Probability of Spa or Message Gift Cards.

Retail values range from $250 to > $450! :dancer01:

We will accept checks for gift basket tickets. 50/50 and raffle tickets are $1 each.

We still have a few Rays & Storm tickets available, if anyone is interested.

Yeah, well THIS time is special. I'd like to use your car in a Logo Pic for future events. I have a couple of specialty cars, but need 1 WHITE, 1 Red, 1 Blue.

You need to be here NLT 4:30.

Whaddayouthing?

D:wavey:C

BTW, Anybody bringing a RED Mid-Year or even better, a RED 70 - 72 T-top?

Actually, a certain GOLD T-top would work just fine! :dancer01:
I will be there T. around 3:00 with Tim and the boys.:thumbsup:

where are you planning on parking all these cars??

they only have like 30 spots in their lot

:shrug01:

Now you see why this is quickly becoming an Invitational Event.

Attendees this year, will automatically receive an invitation to Steak-Out '09. :yesnod:

Prime parking will always be on the S-n-S lot and grass. Sub-prime will be in the 5/3 Bank lot to the East of S-n-S and in the credit union lot to the West.

C U 2morrow!

Not going to happen for us, sorry to say. Even if it wasn't for the hospital stay, our employees torpedoed any chances of us getting away this weekend.

Very Sorry To Hear That Rich! :nonod:

Been too busy to check in much and missed any info about the hospital. :ack2:  Hope you are feeling MUCH better! :dancer01:

  • 86 Registered Vehicles + a handful who didn't register.

  • 3800 pounds +/- of food for RCS.

  • $1100 +/- presented to Alzheimer's Association ~ Respite Care Services

  • Parking was at a Premium, with darned little space to spare. By design, we are moving toward Invitation Only

BUT ... If we would have only received 1 can of beans and $1 for Respite Care, I would have considered this year's Steak-Out a success.

What happened tonight was beyond my wildest expectations and a lot of it would not have happened without the support of this community!

THANK YOU!

Based on their commitments from around the parking lot, most have vowed to return next year. I'd have to say that the vast majority of attendees had a fantastic time.

Thank you to all who attended and to those who helped prod others to come.

I sincerely appreciate it!

Glad it turned out well, Tom. Wish we could have made it. Maybe next year will go better....

Same here Tom:thumbsup:

I'd planned on attending, had the vette and an extra shirt and was good to go...until about noon!:rofl1::rofl1:Then, as usual, all hell broke loose and I was on the road until about 10-10:30 last night:mad:

Went from ODessa to Clearwater, to Parrish, to Wesley Chapel and back:rolleyes:

Anyway, I promised I'd support the cause and I will.

I can either send you or pay pal you if you have it set up, a donation for the cause. You name the way?

Now someone get some pics up so I can drool over what I missed!:thumbsup:

I am with Shadow......The Management got sick on me last night and I could not attend. You know I support you and CA always.

Let me know if I can add to the Pot and how.

I am going Racing Saturday morning in Brooksville and will hook up with the gang to tell me how the show went. Post some pictures....Sad :nonod: I missed it!!!

Happy for your Success!!

:hehehe: JIM :hehehe:

You guys are incredible! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

RCS made out like a bandit last night so if you or anyone else wishes to make a donation, please go to the Corvettes Anonymous web Page and select the PayPal button for Alzheimer's Assoc Respite Care Services.

I will hold your donations until next Friday, then write a pooled check on the group's behalf and will make an announcement here about the amount.

Each donor will be listed in the transmittal letter to Alzheimer's.

Gordon, I know about everything breaking loose when you have a "fun" thing planned and Jim, I'm very sorry to hear about "management" getting sick. I know you were looking forward to the evening ~ particularly after all you did here to help us be successful.

Rich, thank you for CorvetteFlorida's Partnering with us this year. That is a partnership that I would like to see continue into Steak-Out '09. Mostly though, I want to thank you for your support for Corvettes Anonymous during our launch and infancy.

All of you deserve

Don't know what's going to happen with pics. :shrug01: Our photographer got sick at the show and had to leave. Betsy, me, and the C.A.R.E.I. team were so busy with parking, registration, weighing -- yadda yadda yadda, that we never had the chance to take a single pic.

If anyone has some they would like to post or would like to send to me, I would sincerely appreciate it.

Of particular interest would be the cars out front under the S-n-S sign. The 454 Chevelle and the Holman & Moody Racing Mustang were exceptionally rare cars; each being one of only 2-4 remaining.

Thanks again!
