Corvette shops in Florida

:wavey::welcome:

Near Orlando you have Norris Motorsports ( I think the name has changed but someone will correct me I'm sure:D), Ecklers in Titusville, not that far away.

Anyone else want to chime in here?

Antivenom is not too far from Orlando. If you come all the way from Finland what's another hour.

Thanks for info.
You really are lucky people to have so many vette shops
I just hope that my plane would not be too heavy on my way back :)

Just working wit my shopping list, but few things is already on paper:

1) Brakes- Need some upgrade
2) Programming tool -Predator perhaps
3) Injectors & fuel pump- last time when i was dyno injectors were at 99% use. And i have made some mods after that. I'm not sure if original fuel pump is ok, but injector is must. What size would be good ? I have heard that there is no point to take too big injectors. And programmer have to be so good, that i can do mapping myself.

Looking at your mods in the first post, you would prolly do fine with 42# injectors on a stock pump, and if the pump isnt enough adding a kenne bell boost a pump would fix that. I was running 42# on my 402 stroker with cam procharger d1+boltons making 504 and had no problems.

Im not a fan of handheld tuners though. Youd spend around 300-400 on a handheld when for the same price you can get a full professional tune, it would be a night and day difference from a pro tune from a handheld.

Brake wise ive seen a couple people on the other corvette forum with c5s upgrading to C6 brake systems. Can usually find a stock set cheap when a C6 owner upgraded to C6Z06 brakes.

I thought about that too, but I would assume that the Vette will remain in Finland, so the programmer has to go to the Vette, and not vise versa. If you want to send Greg and Rachelle on a vacation to Finland they may be able to accommodate the idea! ;)

True but, I wouldnt waste the money on a handheld. Im sure theres gotta be some kind of tuner up there. Even if all they do is street tune. HPTuners anyone?

In Titusville...

after getting the parts from Ecklers', you could visit Ron Wood of Corvette Interiors Plus on Route 50 (Cheney Highway), to have those parts installed. Ecklers is about a mile and a half from Ron's shop. He is the only one who works on my '82.

If engine work is needed, he farms it out to the only guy who does engines for him. He has worked on my 82s', Cross Fire Injection, so, there is some knowledge still around for that engine. :yesnod:

You want paint? The only guy who does paint for Ron is 'Bodys by Doug'...and if any of you saw our 82 at the UCP, it wears paint done by Doug. :dancer01:

Ron can be reached at: 321-269-3887, or,

vetteinteriorsplus@cfl.rr.com

Its not the prettiest shop in town, but then again, what shop does when the mechanic actually does work! :hehehe:

Hi !!

We are here for you if you ever need anything.

WOW Finland..... lucky you !!

Yes you are correct about how lucky Florida is with all their shops...
Some are good some are bad , you have to do you research on all of them and you will find the one that's right for you.

Most people have not tried EVERY SHOP out there so they can't really say who's the best and who's not it all depends on what YOU want corvette wise. I hope you enjoy your stay in beautiful Florida !

Glad to have you on the site !

Million thanks for good advices. It's nice to hear that Vette owners are one big happy family :dancer01:

And yes its true but sad, we have no tuner here in Finland.
But my shopping list is done.

On of my friend is coming to Florida one week before me.
He just called, and said that he has fever. Bad one. Vette fever :D
So he's looking for good one C5 or C5 Z06
(2000+) Stock, or just light mods and targa.
So...if somebody is selling car, i would be happy to get any info.
