Well, I could do without any tropical disturbances this year. Connie and I have enough on our plates to worry about right now.

We only got a brief shower yesterday with 0.17" of rain. But I could probably measure the humidity by the quart.

It looks like we got a good shower up here in Georgia yesterday afternoon before we got home and everything is green.
Drove down to Tallahassee this morning to pick up my wife's Escalade at Dale Jr. Cadillac (had the ten speed transmission serviced) and on the way home some insects hit the windshield. They reminded me of Love Bugs. I got home and looked at the bumpers on my CTS V and her Escalade and darned if there weren't Love Bugs stuck on them! Isn't it way early for this?!
Didn't see any down in Orlando or Lakeland yesterday, just up here in Georgia.

Well, they're alive and well up here! I always expected them around the first cool weather. Wonder what this means?

Heck, who knows what it means? Honestly, it seems like REAL summer here is actually in June. That is when we seem to have the hottest temps. So now maybe Fall actually starts in August.
As for rainfall, we got another 0.33" today. I am really surprised that mosquitoes aren't really bad. But on a side note, I was out clearing some weeds from around the Satsuma trees and had a yellow fly bite me on the arm. I thought those suckers were done for the season.

I get a yellow fly at near sundown sometimes but not that many are around. We get them no seeums when there is no wind anytime of the year at near sundown. I am near the saw grass.

Early Fall would be fine with me. We're already experiencing lower temps (62 degrees last week) in our weekly travels up to Kentucky and back.
And since April of this year we've been home practically every weekend (Thursday evening until Monday morning) with this wonderful, awesome, dedicated route we have now, We haven't seen much evidence of mosquitos. Which is a sharp contrast to last summer when they nearly carried us off when we did get home every month or two. And we've had plenty of rain this year.
And I've only seen maybe two yellow flies, one of which is no longer living!
