I am so sorry for your loss......we have dogs as well as children and I can't imagine being witness to either being hurt or killed. We have a sixteen year old son, who of course tells us he drives safely (yeah right) when he is out with friends or going to work. For any parent out there to say "not my kid" needs a serious reality check. Again, I am very sorry for you and your wife, I hope it all comes right for you both in the end.
Hey Mike. Very sorry for your loss.
My wife and I have two dogs and we love them as if they were our children.
A few years ago we had to put one of our dogs down and I cried for days.
Thank God that your wife was not injured.

I can only imagine what you two are going thru, and how terrified your wife must have been!
I can only wonder what an animal activist group would think, or could possibly do in this situation??? I mean...to dismiss the animal like the State does, is just wrong!
I'm Amazed that all he received was a ticket for reckless driving!
The real culprit are the parents who should know better than let irresponsible kids drive.

I couldn't agree more, but....what if the parents were unaware of his reckless driving before this incident? I'm sure their son didn't display his recklessness while they were around. If he had, well that's another story.
He's a GOOD KID, we're GOOD PARENTS !!! I wish I had a dollar for every good kid from good parents I arrested during my career. Too many parents refuse to remove the blinders when it comes to their kids.
You have my sympathy and I hope you do something about the situation. I love my dog as I loved my children.
