They have lowered the rainfall predictions from 10 to 20 inches down to 10 to 12 inches....

I just hope we don't get much in the way of wind. With all the rain we've been getting lately, the ground is pretty much saturated and trees could easily be toppled over. So that would mean a lot of power outages.
And I guess this will be a boon for the mosquitoes again...

Went to a local party last night and the skeeters were busy. Not a good busy but busy none the less.

In the end Isaac, is doing what it wants to do and no spaghetti plots or high falutting technology can predict where its going...Originally it was going to Miami, then Key West, then Everglades City, then Ft Myers, then Pensacola, now the French Quarter who do not need another major weather event...but at least they have a level headed mayor running the show this time, not that raging moron Nagle or whatever his name is...

Yeah, if it weren't for the weather services, you would never know here that there was even a storm out in the Gulf. Barely got any rain from it. At least not as of yet. Right now scattered sun and clouds, with light wind.
Not that I'm complaining.....
But it does seem kind of silly to declare a state emergency just based on nebulous forecasts. That's pretty much akin to crying "Wolf", that could have severe repercussions if there really is a wolf coming some day.
