Once the building is closed, especially if it's eviction related, you'll need to contact the property owner/manager to arrange entry into the building for any purpose.
If the owner has a lien or judgment against the tenant (not that this is the case here BTW), then property inside may be considered part of the "assets" of the buisness until proven otherwise.
If the lienholder wants to be a prick, you'll need to provide reciepts, photo's or other documentation to prove ownership before they can be returned.
The police can't/won't do anything in this matter. It's entirely civil in nature. You'll be referred to the courts and to your own attorney's if you have one.
