Tampa Tuning Revs Up Its Staff

(Tampa, FL) Tampa Tuning is pleased to announce the addition of a tuning master. Ian Thomson, former full-time instructor and research and development analyst for “The Tuning School” and co-writer of the tuning guide for the six speed automatic transmission has joined Tampa Tuning.

Thomson brings a wealth of knowledge to the tuning arena.

He’s spent thousands of hours in the classroom as an instructor and on the dyno tuning cars. Thomson excels in forced induction vehicles and enjoys the challenge of getting the most out of heads and cam packages. His heads and cam C6 Corvette has 540 RWHP with a smooth shifting 6l80 transmission.

Philip Aprea, owner of Tampa Tuning, is thrilled to have Thomson on his team. “He’s one of the best tuners in the country. For those of you who have thanked me for your A6 tuning, you can also thank Ian. He wrote the book on 6l80/90 tuning.”

Phil,
Good to hear from you again. Do you still have the monthly cruises at the Hooters on Gandy? I have always wanted to attend especially with all of the new Camaros.

I stopped going the Hooters gig because Hooters wasnt cutting any prices for the folks attending and busting my balls why more guys didnt come.

It became work for me and hooters was making out.

Its easier for me to go to other peoples car shows and pimp Tampa Tuning. Then I can leave when I get bored.

I picked up Ian from the tuning school. He set the industry standard and wrote the book on performance tuning the 6l80/6l90 transmissions so he great to have around.

Now im on the market for two Part Time techs. I posted it on a couple forums with positive results.
