The car has been repainted and looks better than a factory job (this is my second MSG Vette). My bodyshop did the paintwork. All trim was removed including the bumpers.
THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE TO THIS CAR. I bought this just over a year ago from Gary Encks in NY and was assured that it was factory paint. Well I got the car, and the right side was repainted (color was off a few shades). I checked it over very good including putting it on a lift and saw NO damage.
The left side had a scratch on it and the left headlight cover had been painted the same wrong color which made me decide just to repaint the complete car.
I have pics of the painting process to show there was no damage to it prior to painting.
The paint job is the original color and yes, it does have that floating metallic that MSG is known for.
I also wetsanded and buffed the Vette, so the paint is nice and flat, unlike the typical GM Textured orange peel.
The car runs and looks EXCELLENT and as you know, this is a very rare and beautiful color combo.
