Default It's back IN, again!!

Hi gang. Just wanted to stop working on my Vette long enough to let you all know I finally got the motor back from the engine builder Thursday, and a few of my best friends came over Saturday and we got it dropped back into the car and hooked up the driveline. It's still got a bunch of the 'other' stuff to get hooked up, headers, lines, induction system (blower), but it's almost ready to hit the streets again. Hopefully by this coming weekend. Wish me luck. Glenn

We all are way past the age for doing this stuff, so between the four of us we made up 1 -1/2 whole people The similes are because it went so easy this time (because we've done it so many times we could do it in our sleep). Glenn

Will do! Right now, Fast & Sexy Magazine is waiting to see if it gets running by this upcoming weekend. They sent me an e-mail saying they MIGHT be down here then and wanted to know if the Vette would be running by then for the photo shoot. We'll see. Glenn

Default Update

Well, the photo shoot fell thru with F&S's local Florida photographer. He called and said the model had been in an auto accident and had her arm and leg in a sling so they wanted to re set a time.
I'm getting ready to tow out to Corpus Christi Texas for the 'Vettes & Jets on the Lex' the 15th. The plan now is on our way back home we will swing thru Georgia (their home base) for the nude photo shoot there. Will let you all know how it goes.
The Vette is running but STILL having a battle with overheating when driven any real distance. Just can't seem to find why. Narrowed down to timing (not just a simple advance and retard issue) or fuel or both it seems. Can't spend time to sort it out anymore before my wife and I leave, so will wait till end of September or first of the month to dig into it some more. Nothing we do seems to make a difference. A real tough issue, but we are now sure it's NOT the cooling system, it's mechanical related to the motor/blower/ignition/fuel. See ya, Glenn

OK, we'll definitely be needing pics of that photo shoot.

We will. Don't expect to be back home in Daytona before the end of the month. Glenn
