At the risk of sounding like a dweeb (woops too late).
Can a person register and not show.
Is the Nov. 7th deadline just for people showing their cars?
If so, is their parking for Vettes only or would I park in the general areas?

Sorry, i'm Really New at this "Event" thing, and would rather come check things out, meet other people from this forum, as well as other Vette owners and vendors, before I subject myself to showing my car.

I tried, and still am trying to find a site, that would provide me with the answers to my questions.:banghead:

Anyway, I see that i'm seriously running out of time here, and sure could use some info to better help me in making a decision.:thumbsup:

If you register, you get the shirt, goody bag, plaque, and get to park with all the other Vettes. You don't have to "show" your car, you can leave the hood down and lock it up and look at the rest of the cars.

You can also not register and attend with the general public, in which case it's free, you don't get the "stuff", you park with the general public, etc.

I'm with you, I don't "show" my car. It's not customized, and it's a daily driver and hence has rock chips, etc. But I decided to go ahead and try and register just so I can park with the Vettes. :D

At some shows you are "locked in" and can't move your car before the show is over. My understanding is that UVP is not one of those shows.

We register but don't show the vettes. The goodie bags are always nice and the shirt and meal ticket easily make up the cost of registration. You get to park with 400 other corvettes and be in the middle of everything. We always leave early which is not a problem. I usually tell them I'm leaving early and they park me somewhere it's easy to get out. It's a fun day. Hope to meet some of the forum members :thumbsup:

How did you register? Did you use the PayPal link at the website? If so, did it try to charge you $999?

That's what we're going to do (not show'em).

We're going to Show up Friday, stay till Sunday and make a weekend of it.
Question...How am I going to know who you guys are? I'd like to Atleast be able to say hello to those on this forum.
Maybe get a Lic. plate list going for those attending?:confused:

Thanks. I tried it again with Internet Explorer and it worked. Apparently they didn't test it with Firefox. :eek:

Now I just have to cross my fingers that Tim Burke finishes it on the 16th, as promised. :toetap05:

Look for a fat guy with a ponytail, a beard, a handlebar mustache, and a Hawaiian shirt. :D

NO.2-YOU CAN BUY A TICKET FOR LUNCH!

NO.3-YOU CAN BUY 50/50 TICKETS, YOU JUST WON'T GET DOOR PRIZES OR GOODY BAGS.

NO.4- WE HAVE PARKING AVAILABLE AT THE HARLEY DAVIDSON DEALERSHIP AND YOUR CAR WILL BE SAFE. HARLEY ALSO HAS A DRAWING FOR SOME NICE STUFF AND YOU CAN ENTER THAT AT THE DEALERSHIP WHEN YOU PARK. THIS IS THE NEW HARLEY DEALERSHIP AND YOU SHOULD GO LOOK AROUND...ITS AN IMPRESSIVE BUILDING. ITS ON THE EAST SIDE OF SHOW..POLICE WILL DIRECT YOU THERE.

We'll need to post a time and a meeting spot to get as many members of the forum together for a picture. If any of you are members of Z06Vette.com, be sure to sign Ivo's banner. We can then do a banner shot of Z06Vette members. I know Ivo, GSJack, Mark Dickie, Ty and Rich Z are members, anyone else?

Jim, I'll leave it up to you to locate the best meeting spot and time. For me, it would be better in the morning. I don't plan on staying past 1 or 2.

SUGGESTION.....MEET AT THE STAGE AT 10:00AM....YOU ALL CAN GET PEOPLE ON GROUND AND STAGE AND GET A NICE PICTURE. BAND DOES NOT START TIL 12:00. IVO KNOWS HIS WAY AROUND...LET HIM ORIGANIZE YOU ALL!!!!:thumbsup:
