Yesterday's excellent AutoBlog video with GM Small Block Assistant Chief Engineer Ron Meegan took us inside the Corvette ZR1's LS9 engine. From that presentation we learned why engineer's started with the base Corvette's 6.2 Liter LS3 engine vs. the 7.0 Liter LS7 found in the Z06, as well as the various components that were upgraded to fulfill the quest of 100 horsepower per liter.
