Same impression here. CF is extremely inconsistent with their "lockdowns"...

I got locked down over there just for stating I enjoy going "crisply up through the gears"....no chit....just for that...

I would guess 99% of us at one time or another gets to feeling our oats just a tad with our cars, I mean that is ONE of the MAIN reasons we have these cars.

CF goes way overboard with their lockdown policies. The official reason given is to NOT promote street racing in anyway for fear of libel.

My position is that an average intelligent person can discuss street racing WITHOUT promoting or encouraging it. It's all in the vein of the conversation.

Rich: I spent a lot of time on three different Forums. You do a GREAT job of running this site.

Well I think all forum owners, admins, and moderators should understand the laws concerning publicly accessible websites. I took the time to do so, and found a very interesting law called the Communications Decency Act of 1996. In a nutshell, federal law protects all owners, admins, and moderators of publicly accessible message board systems from ANY liability for what someone else posts on the site. That includes not only allowing any such material to remain there, but also protects against liability for removing any material deemed inappropriate.

That one loose end here, however, is that if anyone other than the original author edits that post, then the editor can be considered as a co-author, and thereby legally liable for the post in it's entirety.

Of course, that being said, anyone can sue anyone else for just about any reason that want to. IF they have the money to pay an attorney to do it. Just because the legal action is not warranted, is not justified, or in some cases even illegal itself, doesn't mean it can't happen.

Every once in a while you just have to though.

LT1's. Was it an older Firebird? My friends '92 had the LT1 Engine. I gotta say one thing. I always thought Mustangs and Camaro/Firebirds always sounded meaner than the Vette. They have deeper, throatier sounds. Until you get around somebody that has the C5R 427 or the SLP Loudmouth exhaust. Well maybe the B&B's too. Ah, what the hell do I know!

Back to the topic at hand,,, I think the exhaust sounds different because ours is so close to the end of the pipe. Like a trumpet vs a tuba,, the longer the pipes after the muffler the deeper the growl can be.......

No wonder those straight pipes sound so good!
