Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

No turkey for us today.

Kind of a good news, and bad news sort of thing.

The good news is that we are spending all day outside in the beautiful weather we are having here.

The bad news is that Connie and I are painting the porch. Spent the last week scraping, sanding, and filling in holes with spackle after I punch nail heads below the level of the wood. That didn't seem to bother us the first time around.

Been painting for the past 3 days, with probably 4 more to do. Can only do so many sections a day so we can put on a second coat. We start around 10 or so when it warms up, and finish up just after dark. I had to bring out one of the shop lights from the garage and set it up on the porch to give us enough light to finish up for the day.

Honestly, I will be THANKFUL when this is done. I think I would rather have a root canal than do painting.

My wife has had three strokes so the family didn't want her to prepare a big meal .We went out to eat and It was very easy for everyone .Also this is our 50th anniversary so that was incorporated .

Things are overall pretty good so I'm thankful

We broke from tradition and went out to eat also. Georgio's in Tallahassee was great! Much to be thankful for but mixed feelings tonight as we take our son to the Jax Airport to catch a plane to Korea.

Happy Thanksgiving to ALL of the members of Corvette Florida. I hope it was a fun-filled and happy holiday for all concerned.

Thank you vett boy, it's hard watching them leave when you know you won't see them for a year. And after that he'll be going to Italy for 2-3 years, but at least I can go see him there. As long as the refugees haven't taken over by then.
