You appear to be in the "Bermuda Triangle" of NO RAIN! Our dedicated trucking route takes us through the area east of Tampa (I-4 to I-75) and the drainage ponds that we see going north are caked with dried green algae but hardly any water, whereas all the other areas in Florida are practically flooded.

Looks like that Bermuda Triangle of drought has spread up here too. Typical for this time of year, it seems. Probably no rain till a tropical storm system develops in the Gulf. Or we get a sporadic and unpredictable thunderstorm that just pops up out of nowhere that just raises the humidity 1000 percent.

Weather radar is showing storms to the east of us and to the west of us, but nothing here. I am not expecting anything beyond pie in the sky forecasts for at least the next two weeks. There are slight chances shown now in the forecast, but this time of year they normally turn out to be false hope. Storms will come right at us, evaporate when the front gets here, then reform over on the other side after passing through.
So, with that in mind...
Total accumulated rain for April, 2022 = 4.37 inches
Total for 2022, so far = 27.40 inches.

We finally got some rain today (Friday). 0.67" worth. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if that will be all till into June sometime.

We got 1.11" of rain today, surprisingly enough.
Damn yellow flies are beginning to kick up, though, so time outside will be a real challenge.

Had a brief shower today dropping 0.13" of rain. I am thankful for the rain watering the fruit trees because the yellow flies are coming into season and they make doing anything outside a real challenge. I have a bug zapper in hand, but still, one or two sneaky sonsofbitches will get through for a bite any way.
